I recently joined the HFZone crew, part of the group that moderates r/shortwave on Reddit and generally active followers of the radio spectrum. I was honored with an opportunity to write a review on the Global Radio Guide: Summer 2020. As a relatively new listener of shortwave radio I really enjoyed reading the book.

As an amateur radio listener, sometimes it can be nice to have all the shortwave radio frequencies in one location. This book covers it all as well as other great subjects having to do with shortwave listening. In particular, there is extensive information on SDR and a close look at the Airspy HF+ Discovery. I own this device (and feel partial to it). That being said, Gayle Van Horn does a good job of providing a review and highlighting the relevant portions.
